| View in browser Dear Student,   The Office of the Registrar has launched an electronic Course Registration Override process within ESTHER.   What has changed?   Instead of initiating course registration override requests with a paper Special Registration form, you should now submit and receive decisions on course registration overrides electronically via ESTHER.   Once an instructor approves your request electronically, the system will automatically process your course registration override and notify you via email to register immediately.   Additionally, if an instructor denies your request, you will also be notified automatically via email.   How to use the new, electronic Course Registration Override process: In ESTHER, select Students - Registration. Click on the Course Registration Overrides Request tile. Select the Semester, Course Subject and Number, and the Instructor for the requested course. Select the Course Registration Override(s) you are requesting.  Note: You may select multiple overrides in a single request. However, if your request includes either a Repeat Acknowledgment or a Time Conflict, you cannot combine it with any other override type and will need to submit separate requests. Choose Yes or No to indicate whether you consent to share your Academic History (Transcript) with the reviewing instructor. Provide a detailed justification for the course override request in the corresponding text box provided. Click Submit Course Registration Override Request. Monitor your Rice email for automated status updates. If approved, return to ESTHER to complete your course registration. Additional instructions and frequently asked questions can be found here.   If you have any questions or run into any issues, you can contact us at registrar@rice.edu.   Thank you, Office of the Registrar Website E-mail Policy Feedback Questions?
