Terrence Gee

Meet Rice's New CIO

Terrence Gee, an alumnus and former trustee, will serve as the interim CIO. With his leadership background and familiarity with Rice, Terrence brings a unique perspective to OIT, "My focus is on helping Rice get better by preserving what makes it distinctively Rice, while thoughtfully evolving what needs to change. The real work is knowing which is which - and I’m looking forward to figuring that out together."

Center for Research Computing: Your Partner in Discovery

The Center for Research Computing or CRC is the organization that manages and supports access to advanced computing resources on campus and beyond. We have a team of dedicated experts working to empower our research community. As a core part of Rice's research infrastructure, the CRC team works with faculty, students, and staff to scale up: when your project has outgrown your laptop PC, the CRC helps you keep growing. We will help navigate the complex world of high-performance computing, and wrangle data management processes to accelerate your way to new knowledge.
