RE: Fall 2026 Course Request Period begins TODAY (Friday, March 27th)

 

At Rice University, registration for undergraduate students is a two-part process:

  • Part 1: Students first submit their desired course selections via ESTHER during an official (two-week) Course Request Period
  • Part 2: Students then perform "Adds" and "Drops" via ESTHER after the start of the Add/Drop Period

As noted in the Spring 2026 Academic Calendar, the Fall 2026 registration Course Request Period opens TODAY (Friday, March 27th).

 

IMPORTANT DATES:

  • Friday (3/27): Registration Course Request Period begins
  • Friday (4/10): Registration Course Request Period ends
  • Wednesday (4/15): Registration Add/Drop Period begins
