LAST DAY TO DROP CLASSES (1st Semester UG New/Transfer Students FALL 2024)

ATTENTION: First-Semester Undergraduate New/Transfer Students RE: Last day to DROP courses (for Fall undergraduate matriculants only)    We've begun the Last Week of Classes for the Fall 2024 semester. Per the General Announcements, "newly matriculated undergraduate students, both new first-time and transfer students in their first full-term semester at Rice, are permitted to drop courses up to the last day of classes.”     As noted in the Fall 2024 Academic Calendar, this Friday, December 6th, is the Last Day to DROP Classes (Fall 2024 undergraduate matriculants only). PLEASE NOTE: If dropping a course will put you below 12 hours (full-time status), you will want to determine if this will affect your financial aid status and you must secure approval to drop to part-time (< 12 hours); The Office of Academic Advising manages Reduced Course Load Requests. Please note that this late drop cannot be done in ESTHER but instead via a completed Special Registration Form submitted to the Office of the Registrar by e-mail at registrar@rice.edu or in person (1st Floor, Allen Center).
